NorCal’s Spring College Showcase — Event Preview

This weekend, nearly 100 college coaches will be in attendance as NorCal Premier Soccer hosts its bi-annual College Showcase at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex.
Over the course of two days, teams from the NorCal ECNL RL, NPL, the ECNL, and MLS Next will play a series of matches in front of coaches looking to find their next star recruits.
“The NorCal College Showcase is the top event in the state in which players are recruited to the colleges that they will attend,” said NorCal ECNL RL Coordinator Kelcey Chaidez. “The coaches who attend consistently tell us that they’re able to find top talents at our showcase.”

While a majority of the coaches present come from California, there will be representatives from universities at 11 different states including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
Each coach will be treated to a series of matches, some of which are friendlies, some of which are league games, and some of which will constitute the semifinals and finals of the inaugural NorCal League Cup, a knockout competition that pits teams from different leagues against each other.
Overall, teams from the U16-U19 age groups will participate in the event, with all teams who partake in the NorCal ECNL RL and NPL, as well as all League Cup participants, guaranteed acceptance.
Additionally, NorCal works with regional NPL partners in Southern California, Arizona, Washington, and Hawaii to bring in top teams from the Western United States to participate, including a delegation from the up-and-coming Hawaii National Team.
“The NorCal College Showcase serves as both a capstone to the excellent seasons our teams have had as well as one last chance in the 2025/26 campaign to be noticed by the expectant college coaches in attendance,” Chaidez said. “Throughout the years, we’ve had hundreds of student athletes recruited at this event.”
