Girls Fall College Showcase Kicks Off This Weekend in Davis

It’s that time of the year again as hundreds of teams from across the state and beyond will descend on Davis Legacy Soccer Complex for the NorCal Fall College Showcase, which is split over the next two weekends on a pristine playing surface in Davis.

This Saturday and Sunday will see the girls play as U16-U19 teams from ECNL, Girls Academy, NorCal NPL, Arizona clubs, and more will take to the field in front of dozens of college coaches looking for their next big recruits.

“The NorCal College Showcase is the premier event in the area for players to showcase themselves in front of college coaches,” said NorCal NPL Commissioner Kelcey Chaidez. “Not only are the games competitive, but the level of play is high, and each year we have players scouted to make the next move in their soccer careers.”

“This year we’re also excited to include ECNL and Girls Academy teams, as well as a few others from outside the area, in the fold, making sure that the best level of talent is on show this weekend,” Chaidez added. “This event will be a true celebration of soccer at the highest level and one that’s incredibly important for all of those participating.”

More than 60 coaches are scheduled to attend this weekend, coming from 14 different states around the country to do so. A full list of the attending college coaches can be found here.

In addition to the scheduled games that each team will play in, NorCal is again hosting an All-Star Game on Saturday night, with selections made up of players from the Valley and Bay regions playing each other. One match will contain players who are in their senior year in high school, while the other will be made up of  juniors.

The full All-Star squads and an interview with each coach taking the helm of those teams can be found here.

If you can’t make the event in-person, all games played on Fields 4 & 7 over the weekend will be live-streamed to NorCal’s YouTube channel– @NorcalPremiersoccer8655. The full streaming schedule can be found here.
