| Both Central Valley Leon and Ceres Earthquake showed themselves as true gamers in the semifinals -- each side coolley advanced to the final on kicks from the mark after dramatic semifinals. However, a closer look at the NPL 1 standings, where both sides ply their trade in league play, will show that Central Valley appear to have the advantage heading into this game. The two sides met during the NPL College Showcase, with Central Valley posting a 2-0 victory over Ceres that helped cement the former’s NPL 1 title. As far as cup play goes, though, both have been unstoppable on the offensive end, with 11 goals each. |
