U14 Boys State Quarterfinals Preview

U14 BOYS STATE QUARTERFINAL A
5/6Sacramento United
12:20 PM
Heritage SC
Heritage SC enters this match as the clear favorite, having come out to a 3-1-2 record to currently sit in second place in the U14 Boys NPL 1, while Sacramento United have struggled to a 1-6-0 record in the NPL 2. Still, it would be unwise to count United out after Sacramento knocked off Ajax United, a team at the top of the NPL 2 table, in the round of 16 of State Cup. Heritage made it to the quarterfinals by virtue of a 2-0 victory over Davis Legacy.

SF Glens Evolution
By virtue of a fourth place finish in the U14 Boys NPL Champions League, SF Glens Black head into their quarterfinal match as the favorites. The Glens have scored nine goals in their last two State Cup matches while allowing just one, the same goal differential that Atletico Santa Rosa Cobras have put up in that time frame. Atletico are still in contention for the U14 Boys NPL 1 title as well, currently sitting three points off the top place with a game in hand.
U14 BOYS STATE QUARTERFINAL C
5/6Napa SA
2:30 PM
Force South
One of the favorites for the entire title has to be Napa Soccer Academy, who finished in second place in the U14 Boys NPL Champions League with a 4-2-1 record and 13 points. Just two points behind them in the division though, were Force South, who allowed just four goals in seven matches in the division. This game could really go either way -- when the two sides met last week at the NPL College Showcase, they battled to a 0-0 draw.
U14 BOYS STATE QUARTERFINAL D
5/6Monarcas Academy
10:10 AM
Turlock Tornados
Monarcas Academy may be a mid-table side in the U14 Boys NPL 1, but their cup form has been outstanding as the side has scored 13 goals in its previous two matches, wins over Alpine Strikers and Diablo FC. Monarcas’ opponents will be a tough beat, however, as the Turlock Tornados finished in sixth place in the Champions League and kept a pair of clean sheets in the first two knock out rounds of State Cup.
