NPL/ECNL-RL Matchday #10

It’s the end of October and several title races in the NPL and ECNL-RL are up for grabs in matches this weekend. As the league season comes to a close, it’s more imperative than ever for teams to pick up all three points this weekend during NPL/ECNL-RL Matchday #10

Here are your NPL/ECNL-RL games of the week:

U17 Boys ECNL-RL
10/28Sunnyvale Alliance
3-2
TSP FC
Needing a victory to claim the U17 Boys ECNL-RL title, TSP FC traveled to Sunnyvale to take on the Alliance, who had nothing significant to play for. Sunnyvale went up 3-0 thanks to a brace from Rami Smati and a goal from Joel Robles. Though TSP fought back to make it 3-2, they couldn't find an equalizing goal, leaving Eastshore Alliance to claim the title.

U19 Boys NPL 3
10/28Albion SC Central Valley
1-2
San Jose Rush
Thanks to a hard fought 2-1 victory on the road, San Jose Rush claimed the U19 Boys NPL 3 title. Hosts Albion SC Central Valley needed a victory to stay alive in the division, but goals from Brandon Munoz and Roberto Martinez prevented that from happening, ensuring that San Jose would make the long trip home with the championship in hand.
U14 Girls NPL Golden Gate
10/28Burlingame SC
0-0
WSC Crush
In a battle between two clubs at the top of the U14 Girls NPL Golden Gate, Burlingame and WSC Crush played to a scoreless draw. It was the first time either side dropped points this season, making their repeat clash on the final day of the year a likely title decider.
U16 Girls ECNL-RL
10/29Stanislaus United
9:30 a.m. @ Ballenitas Park #1
Walnut Creek Surf
In our last featured matchup of the weekend, we have a true title game as the winner of the Stanislaus United - Walnut Creek Surf contest will take home the U16 Girls ECNL-RL title. Both sides have won all of their matches thus far, opening up a wide gap between them and the rest of the league. Should the pair draw, the champion will be decided by goal differential after Walnut Creek's final game in November.
