Games of the Week #10 Part 2: U10 State Cup
Just two weekends of play remain in the U10 State Cup, but for anyone hoping to lift one of the dozens of titles up for grabs, there are still six more games to navigate. That all starts this weekend as each team will play three games in their second group stage of play before cutting to a quarterfinal bracket.
Here are your games of the week:
| U10 Girls State/Premier Cup | |||||
| 10/31 | Placer United |  |  | Girls Unite | |
| Placer United compiled one of the strongest runs of form in the first group stage of play, finishing as one of the few teams that picked up a perfect nine points from nine games. During the process, they put together a plus-17 goal differential with a strong attack and a stingy defense that allowed just a single goal. Their key second group stage game could come in their second matchup against Girls Unite. While Girls Unite didn't put as many goals in the back of the net, they were just as good defensively en route to winning their bracket thanks to seven points from three games. | |||||
| U10 Boys State/Premier Cup | |||||
| 10/31 | Modesto Ajax United |  |  | Marin FC | |
| In the first group stage of play, few teams were as dominant as either Modesto Ajax United or Marin FC. Both sides picked up the maximum nine points from three games. Both finished with a positive goal differential in the double digits. And both will feel like they have a good chance at topping their group in the second group stage, which should set up an exciting second game for each team Saturday in Morgan Hill. | |||||
