Cross Regional Playoffs to Take Place at Showcase

In order to decide a true NPL champion each fall, NorCal Premier Soccer hosts the Cross Regional Championships, which pit each regional champion against each other in a knockout tournament.

This year’s Cross Regional Championships on the boys side will take place at this weekend’s NorCal College Showcase.

In all, NPL champions from the U16, U17, and U19 divisions will be crowned with the semifinals taking place on Saturday and the finals set to kick off Sunday.

“We’re very excited to host all of the qualified teams who have earned a berth based on their fall performances,” said NPL Commissioner Kelcey Chaidez. “This is another excellent opportunity for our teams to face high quality competition in front of the college coaches on hand.”

The U14 and U15 Cross Regional Playoffs will take place at a later date as only showcase-eligible age groups are set to play this weekend.

Additionally, each team that wins a final will earn their club a bonus point towards ECNL promotion.
