Coaches From 22 States to Attend Showcase

Over two weekends of play, the NorCal College Showcase will include a series of competitive fixtures, the first-ever NorCal All-Star games, the crowning of fall NPL champions, and much, much more.

And as the local youth soccer community has come to expect, the event will again be packed with college coaches from all across the country looking to find their next crop of stars.

Between the boys event on November 12 and 13 and the girls set up on November 20 and 21, 157 college coaches are scheduled to arrive at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex for a gathering that has become an integral part of their yearly calendar.

The committed managers are split almost equally between the boys and girls events, with 73 registered for the boys and 74 signed up for the girls.

While local schools comprise a majority of the RSVP list, with 89 hailing from California, this year’s showcase is truly a countrywide event.

Overall, coaches from 22 different states will take in games in the next two weekends, with a further four arriving in Davis from abroad.

Furthermore, each level of the college game will be represented, providing a plethora of options for all players taking part in the festivities.

The NCAA leads the way among collegiate associations, with 97 total coaches – 27 Division I, 39 Division II, and 31 Division III.

Meanwhile, 21 NAIA coaches have signed up for the event, while 20 junior college programs will also be on site.
