2023 U16-U19 Super Rec Cup Recap
On November 4 and 5 NorCal Premier Soccer hosted its latest edition of the Super Rec Cup, with the U16-U19 divisions competing at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex.
From the players who left everything on the field to the dedicated parents, coaches, and referees, this event served as a true celebration of soccer.
“In the true spirit of the Super Rec Cup, we commend all the players for giving their all on the field,” said NorCal Grassroots Director Andrew Taylor. “Your determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship were genuinely inspiring. You made this tournament unforgettable, and we are grateful for your dedication.”
“We also thank the parents, coaches, referees, and event staff for their hard work and dedication in making this event a smooth and enjoyable experience for all involved,” Taylor added. “Your support and tireless efforts are essential to the success of such events, and we could not have done it without you.”
The unique and festive atmosphere at the Super Rec Cup was evident throughout the tournament. The spirit of competition mixed with a sense of unity and fun, highlighting the essence of recreational soccer. Players displayed their talents, resilience, and love for the game, making it a memorable experience for all in attendance.
The Super Rec Cup featured 60 teams competing in U16 and U19 age groups, resulting in the crowning of ten champions after more than 100 games played over the weekend. The event began with teams participating in three group play games, with the winners of each group earning a spot in the finals.
