U17 Girls State Cup Semifinals Recap

U17 GIRLS STATE SEMIFINAL A
5/11Vision Academy
2-1
EBU Bay Oaks Gold
When these two sides met in Champions League play two months ago, defending State Cup champions Vision Academy defeated East Bay United 2-1. The same scoreline occurred in their semifinal match, but this time it took Vision until overtime to grab the decisive goal. Raniyah Burton put East Bay on top just eight minutes into the match before Vision tied it in the 47th through Skylar Blaise. Then, just as it looked as if the match was headed to kicks from the mark, Emily Nedom calmly finished a terrific team goal to send Vision into the final for the second straight year.
U17 GIRLS STATE SEMIFINAL B
5/11Marin FC Blue
3-0
Placer United NPL
These two teams from opposite ends of the Champions League standings met and the game essentially went chalk as Marin FC defeated Placer United in a dominating 3-0 performance. Abigail Dillon put Marin up in the 17th minute before Jenna Evans and Olivia Carroll scored second half goals to put Marin in the final.
