| The U16 girls State Cup bracket has essentially gone chalk the entire way -- with the only real upset (according to the final NPL Champions League standings) being Lamorinda United’s semifinal victory on kicks from the mark over Force ECNL. As the third place finisher in the Champions League, Lamorinda face a tough task in their opponents, who won it all with a 6-1-0 record, 23 goals scored, and just four against. The Legacy’s cup form hasn’t been any worse, with the side scoring 20 goals in their three knockout round matches. Their one Champions League meeting saw the Legacy beat Lamorinda by a 5-0 scoreline to clinch the title at the NPL College Showcase. |
