| One of the highlights of the NPL College Showcase was the San Jose Earthquakes proudly celebrating their Champions League title with blue smoke bombs adorning the state. Could we see another such exuberant celebration this weekend? It will be tough for the Earthquakes, who face a fellow NPL champion -- albeit in the NPL 1 -- in Lamorinda United. Lamorinda have been simply unstoppable in their cup run, scoring 18 goals in the knockout stage. Their closest margin of victory along the way has been by two goals, ensuring that the Earthquakes will get a strong challenge in their bid for a league and cup double. |
