Needing a win to secure the Champions League title, first-place MVLA were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with a tough Ajax United side Saturday, meaning that it would be up until Sunday for MVLA to clinch the championship. Despite playing an age group up, this MVLA side did so, beating Marin FC 4-0 to claim their title in emphatic fashion. Ajax clinched second with a 3-0 win over Mustang.

As the only undefeated side in the table, Palo Alto SC claimed an NPL 2 championship thanks to two wins over the weekend and help from other games. Though they came into the weekend four points off the top of the table, Palo Alto put 10 goals past their opponents in two matches to claim the title with Cal Thorns finishing second.

Sporting an astonishing plus-29 goal differential, Mustang SC easily wrapped up this division with a 6-0-1 record and two victories over the weekend. Joining them as sides automatically qualified for next year’s NPL are Blues FC, California Odyssey, and Diablo FC.
