Man of the match Julian Lomeli got things started early with a headed goal in just the third minute for what was one of his three first-half goals. But after Central Valley went up 2-0 through two Lomeli goals, Antonio Medina Ordonez pulled one back for Earthquake, only for Gabriel Aguilar and Lomeli to score two unanswered to give Leon a three-goal halftime advantage. But Ceres’ Jesus Yepez Yepez just wouldn’t give up and scored three goals in the first 26 minutes in the second half to help ease the pain of a 47th minute goal from Leon’s Michael Ortez. With the score standing at 5-4, Gerardo Loza finally put the game away seven minutes from time to finish a crazy game.
