| The only non-NPL team left in the the bracket, Parajo Valley United Red continued their dream run this past Saturday, with the State Premier side upsetting the NPL 2 East’s Clovis Crossfire Blue via a 1-0 scoreline. Union Sacramento FC, an NPL 1 side, also secured a 1-0 victory, but theirs came at the expense of a quality FC Elk Grove Platinum squad. So far in the competition, the strength for both teams has been their defense, where the pair of squads have combined to allow just two goals in five knockout round games. |

| Both Davis Legacy Red and Placer United Gold enter the semifinals of the State Cup having crafted out one-goal victories in their previous games. For the Legacy, early goals and a late defensive effort helped them defeat a Walnut Creek side 3-2, while Placer struggled at times to break down a solid MVLA defense, but eventually came out of the match with a 2-1 victory. While Davis Legacy competed in a solid NPL 1 division, Placer United enters the match with more pedigree, having captured the U14 Girls NPL Champions League title just two weeks ago. |
