NPL/ECNL-RL Matchday #7

October is finally upon us and with it comes the stretch run for league play in the NPL and ECNL-RL. Teams from all across the state will battle this weekend for three valuable points in the hopes of winning their divisions or staving off relegation.

Here are your NPL/ECNL-RL games of the week:

U17 Boys ECNL-RL

TSP FC
Weekend opponents Los Gatos United and TSP FC both trail first place Eastshore Alliance in the standings, though both hold games in hand and will hope to overtake Eastshore this weekend. Los Gatos currently sit one point behind with one game in hand, while TSP are two points behind with three games in hand.
U17 Girls ECNL-RL
10/7IR Academy
5:45 p.m. @ Bartholomew Sports Park - 3
Burlingame SC
Every team in the U17 Girls ECNL-RL is within four points of the lead currently, a lead that Burlingame SC are currently tied for with seven points from four games. Sitting just three behind are IR Academy, who will hope to take advantage of the fact that all eight teams in this division have dropped points at least once so far.
U19 Girls NPL 1
10/8Sacramento United

Stanford Strikers
Sacramento United continued their perfect start to the U19 Girls NPL 1 season, defeating Stanford Strikers via a 3-0 scoreline. Daphne Lee struck twice for the hosts before Samantha Selch put the game away for Sacramento United, giving the club a perfect six points from two games played.

Mendocino County Soccer Academy
Hosting Mendocino County Soccer Academy, Albion SC were facing a previously undefeated side. However, the Central Valley squad scored three goals in the final 13 minutes of the game to hand MCSA their first loss of the season. Davis Bosch hit for a brace late, while Erlin Alvarenga Gomez also scored in a 3-0 victory.
