NorCal Matchday #7

As we hit the halfway point of April, most teams have just a month or so left in their seasons, meaning that earning points has never been more valuable. This week, NorCal Matchday returns to the State Premier Leagues, where several promotion hopefuls will battle it out to try to garner the full three points in their quests to move up a league for the next season.
Here are your games of the week:
| U14 Girls State Premier Championship | |||||
| 4/18 | MVLA | ![]() | Mustang SC | ||
| This battle between Bay Area heavyweights sees first place MVLA host third place Mustang SC in a matchup with huge title implications. MVLA currently have dropped points just once so far this season and currently sit six points ahead of Mustang, who have played one fewer game. Should Mustang win this weekend, it could set up an exciting season finale--the two teams square off again in just over a month in what's the final matchday of the league. | |||||
| U13 Boys State Premier Championship - East | |||||
| 4/18 | Placer United | ![]() | Albion SC Merced | ||
| The U13 Boys State Premier Championship - East currently features one of the tightest tables of any division in all of NorCal Premier Soccer's youth leagues this spring. Just four points separate first place from sixth, meaning almost every team in the league still has a shot at the title. This weekend, Albion SC Merced, who are currently atop the table with seven points from three games, will travel to Placer United in a game with massive implications. Placer are just one point behind Albion, but have a game in hand. No matter what happens, expect the table to look different coming out of the weekend than it did coming in. | |||||
