NorCal Matchday #6

After spending some time in the State Premier Leagues last weekend, NorCal Premier Soccer’s featured matches return to the top level of league competition offered in Northern California: the ECNL-RL. While it’s still early in the yearlong season, several title and relegation races are already starting to form, making earning all three points paramount to everyone involved.

Here are your NorCal Premier Soccer games of the week:

U19 Girls ECNL-RL
9/28Burlingame SC
6:00 p.m. @ Miles High School Stadium Field
Stockton Storm
In a division in which all but one team has dropped points so far, Burlingame SC hosts Stockton Storm Saturday night in a matchup between two sides looking to rise in the standings. Burlingame are coming off of their second win of the season last weekend with a victory over Association FC, while Stockton earned their first points of the campaign with a 1-1 draw against MVLA. Both sides trail first place San Juan SC in the table.
U17 Boys ECNL-RL
9/28De Anza Force

Los Gatos United
Both De Anza Force and Los Gatos United currently sit on six points in the U17 Boys ECNL-RL, trailing first-place Turlock Academica Jrs by three points. While De Anza have currently played just two matches, Los Gatos have faced off against three different opponents, including a season opening loss to Turlock. A victory for either team would help them keep the pace with the Academica.
U17 Girls ECNL-RL
9/29North Coast FC
10:00 a.m. @ Petaluma Community Sports Fields #1
Stanislaus United
In a matchup between two teams that typically contend for titles in the 2008 age group, North Coast FC hosts Stanislaus United this weekend in Petaluma, with the two sides currently occupying the second and third place spots in the table. North Coast FC have seven points from three games, while Stanislaus have four points from the same amount of fixtures. Both sides trail Santa Clara Sporting, who have 11 points, but have played five matches already.
U15 Girls ECNL-RL
9/29WSC Crush
11:00 a.m. @ Notre Dame de Namur University Field #1
Solano Surf
So far in the U15 Girls ECNL-RL, three teams have come out to a perfect start, while two are sitting just behind well within striking distance. Those latter two are WSC Crush and Solano Surf, who have three and four points, respectively. While both currently trail nine-point California Odyssey, a victory this weekend with put either back in the title race.
U15 Boys ECNL-RL
9/29Clovis Crossfire
1:00 p.m. @ Granite Sports Complex
Almaden FC
So far in the U15 Boys ECNL-RL, two teams have yet to drop points, first-place Elk Grove United and third-place Almaden FC. While Almaden have played one fewer game, they'll look to pull level with Elk Grove when they travel to play fourth-place Clovis Crossfire Sunday. Clovis, however, won't be an easy out--with 10 goals scored in three games, they're the top scoring side in the division.
U16 Girls ECNL-RL
9/29Stanislaus United
2:00 p.m. @ Ballenitas Soccer Complex Field #1
Reno APEX
Entering this weekend, there's somehow a five-way tie for first place in the U16 Girls ECNL-RL, as a quintet of sides are currently level on six points. Of those five, two face off on Sunday: Stanislaus United and Reno Apex. While both currently have the same amount of points, Reno have played one fewer match, and therefore will take a massive leap ahead should they claim a victory. The matchup also features teams with different strengths as Stanislaus are currently second in the league in goals scored, while Reno have yet to allow a single strike.
