NorCal Matchday #10

While many teams are taking part in tournaments this weekend, there are still a plethora of league games happening in NorCal Premier Soccer’s various competitions. This week, NorCal Matchday returns to the NPL and ECNL-RL, where several title and relegation races are on the line as teams look for an invaluable three points.

Here are your NorCal Premier Soccer games of the week:

U16 Girls NPL 2
10/26Palo Alto SC
6:00 p.m. @ Mayfield Soccer Complex
West Coast Soccer
In the U16 Girls NPL 2, this weekend's sole match is a true six pointer as Palo Alto SC host West Coast Soccer Saturday night. While both sides are currently sitting mid table with nine points, they're also just four off of first-place Livermore Fusion, meaning that a victory will push either team into the promotion race.
U13 Boys NPL South Bay
10/27WSC Crush
9:00 a.m. @ Notre Dame de Namur University
Almaden FC
So far in the U13 Boys NPL South Bay, WSC Crush have been crushing all of their opposition, going 6-0-0 while scoring 41 goals and allowing just a solitary strike. However, they haven't clinched the league title yet and will meet the only other unbeaten side this weekend as 2-0-2 Almaden FC will hope to play the role of spoilers. Should Almaden come out victorious, they'll have a chance to win the league as well.
U15 Boys ECNL-RL
10/27SF United
11:40 a.m. @ Crocker Amazon Soccer Fields # 4
Almaden FC
Sitting just three points apart from each other, SF United and Almaden FC currently top the U15 Boys ECNL-RL table. Almaden come into their matchup this weekend undefeated, having won four games and drawn one, while SF United have won three, drawn one, and lost one. Should either side post a victory, they'll go to first place in the standings and be the favorite to claim the title.
U15 Girls NPL 1 East
10/27Modesto Ajax United
12:00 p.m. @ Mary Grogan Soccer Complex
Folsom Lake Surf
While Modesto Ajax United and Folsom Lake Surf are separated by three places in the league table, they currently are the top two sides in the U15 Girls NPL 1 East in terms of points earned per game. Both have dropped just one result so far on the season, however, Folsom Lake Surf have played two more matches than Ajax. A victory for either side this weekend would go a long way towards securing their title hopes as every other team in the league has at least two games in which they failed to win.
