NorCal Hosts U14 PDP Playdate
After nearly two years away due to the pandemic, NorCal Premier Soccer’s PDP Playdates returned Sunday with the best U14 players from each of the six regional teams meeting at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex to play in two matches.
Overall, 200 different players from 72 clubs participated with 33 NorCal coaches and scouts on hand to take in the action in an identification process that started all the way back in July.
“This is the culmination of the first half year of work, it gives us a chance to compare the top players from each region against each other and begin to shape our state pool for next year,” said NorCal President Benjamin Ziemer. “It’s also great to get the staff together and see all the parents out here. It’s a great way to end the first half of the year.”
The next PDP Playdate is scheduled for June 5 in Davis, with a similar number of players and coaches expected to participate.
The results of the games can be found here for the girls and here for the boys.
