NorCal Futsal State Cup Preview

This weekend NorCal Premier Soccer will host the first-ever NorCal Futsal State Cup at COPA Soccer Training Center in Walnut Creek.

The competition will begin Saturday morning and run all the way through Monday evening, when NorCal will crown its inaugural State champions.

“Futsal is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and provides an excellent opportunity for young players to develop their skills on the ball in a fast-paced environment,” NorCal Director of Competitions Daniel Chamberlain said. “For us to be able to provide a true State Cup for futsal will only help benefit the growth of the youth players in Northern California.”

More than 100 teams will be in the field, with teams competing in the U9-U13 age groups, with squads playing in the group stages on Saturday and Sunday before Monday’s finals.

Overall, 16 different champions will be crowned as some age groups feature multiple divisions.

Each team is guaranteed to play at least three matches over the course of the weekend.
