All NorCal coaches are invited to compete for an all expense paid trip to FC Barcelona, where they will attend youth training sessions, professional matches, and get full inside access to the Nou Camp and world-class coaching methodologies.
The competition will begin on October 1, so we encourage you to go ahead and get registered! Also, be sure you know how to earn more points and get the most out of the competition by joining a coaches webinar!
COMPETITION DETAILS
RULES:
- Competition Period: October 1 – November 13th
- Only points that are earned during the competition period (Oct 1 12:00 am PST – Nov-13 11:59 pm PST) will be included in coach’s total score
- The NorCal Coach whose players earn the most points that are directly tied to their team(s) in the TopYa! App, will win the Grand Prize
- The total amount of points accumulated by all players within a team will be the total team score, which is also reflective of a coach’s’ total score
- If a coach has multiple teams, his/her total score is the total value of all of his/her team scores combined
- Points are only awarded for skills and freestyle challenges once a skill or freestyle challenge has been approved and scored (can take up to 24 hours)
- All scoring and video approval will take place by a TopYa! Virtual Coach. All Virtual Coach decisions are final
- Only points earned up to November 13, 2016 at 11:59 PST will count toward the competition total

POINTS:
- Points are earned on an individual player basis by completing skills and creating or challenging freestyle videos
- To complete skills challenges, players must upload videos correctly performing a variety of skills in the TopYa! App
- To create freestyle challenges, players may upload any creative video of their choice, as long as it is soccer or fitness related
- To challenge a freestyle video, players must upload a video relevant to an existing freestyle video
- Players can download or purchase additional skills paths to continue earning points
- Coaches can create their own skills challenges for free to provide additional skills for their players to accomplish, and earn points
- Coaches can recommend existing skills paths within the app to encourage player participation

PLAYER PRIZES:
- Player prizes will be announced weekly for the boy and girl who accumulate the most points during the prior week
- An overall prize will be awarded to the top three boys and girls who have the most points during the competition period. 1st prize $50 gift certificate; 2nd prize $30 gift certificate; 3rd prize $20 gift certificate
- A leaderboard will be posted on NorCal’s website showing weekly updated rankings
- Prizes will be distributed following the conclusion of the competition – NorCal will contact the coach of the winning player’s team and distribute prize(s)
