NorCal Premier continues to invest heavily in coaching education opportunities. The organization has hosted five LaLiga Formation Methodology courses: two Level 3, two Level 2, and one Level 1-U.S. The first Level 3 course that NorCal Premier hosted holds the series record for most attended with nearly 300 coaches. Regularly presenting a diverse portfolio of developmental opportunities is consistent with US Club Soccer’s belief that coaching education should be accessible, affordable, and regularly available.
The LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 course is a three-day course consisting of field, classroom, and workshop sessions, which are designed to challenge attendees to rethink their long-term club curriculum and day-to-day training sessions. LaLiga methodology experts Carlos Casal López, LaLiga Soccer Projects Coordinator, and Saúl Vázquez Chas, Senior Specialist in Football Programs, will lead the course.
You can view the schedule here. To date, there have been 20 LaLiga Formation Methodology courses since the series’ inception in 2016. More than 1,500 coaches from 400 clubs have been educated.
LaLiga Formation Methodology is a staple of the US Club Soccer/LaLiga partnership, which stems from US Club Soccer’s Players First initiative. Players First is a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players, which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helps parents make better choices about where their children should play.
