NorCal ECNL Regional League
NorCal is excited to partner with ECNL to expand the ECNL Regional League in Northern California. The ECNL RL will serve as the top division of play in Northern California, replacing the NPL Champions League. Teams playing in the ECNL RL will gain access to ECNL RL showcase events as well as ECNL post-season play. The ECNL RL will remain a merit-based competition with promotion and relegation to ensure the highest levels of competition.
Teams qualify for the ECNL RL based on performance in NorCal NPL divisions. Applications are sent to qualifying teams only.
NorCal NPL
The NorCal NPL returns for its 13th season as the top statewide division for youth soccer in Northern California. This year the NPL will feature some significant changes aimed at providing increased movement of teams between levels to provide a more consistent and higher level of competition. In addition, the NPL will now start at U13, with the Pre-NPL still operating at U12.
Teams qualify for the NorCal NPL based on previous season performance and club standards. Applications are sent to qualifying teams only.
NorCal State Premier League
The State Premier League is a year-round (fall and spring), open competition (anyone can enter) that serves as a qualification league for the NorCal NPL divisions. Beginning at the U13 age group, teams will be placed into regional divisions in the fall, with top teams from each division moving on to a state-wide “Championship” in the spring, whose top two teams automatically qualify for the NorCal NPL 2024/25 season.
U11-U19 NorCal Premier Fall League
The U11-U19 Fall League comprises teams participating in seasonal and local divisions at the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper levels.
U8-U10 NorCal Premier Regional Leagues
The U11-U19 Fall League consists of seasonal and local divisions at the Premier, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper levels. Teams are placed into regionalized divisions based on location, and playing level to provide quality competition with limited travel.
U9-U19 NorCal State Cup
The 2023/24 edition of the NorCal State Cup will see over 3,000 teams from 200 clubs and close to 50,000 players participate, making it the largest State Cup in the country. The NorCal State Cup consists of multiple levels of play (State, Premier, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze) in all age groups (U9 – U19) and crown champions in multiple divisions, providing championship pathways to teams of all ability levels. Champions of the State Divisions, earn spots at the California Cup, and in the US Club National Cup Finals (U13-U19 ages).
Super Rec League
NorCal believes that all levels of soccer must be healthy and vibrant for the entire soccer pyramid to thrive. The NorCal Super Rec League consists of U14, U16, and U19 recreational divisions that provide healthy, local competition for recreational-level teams who may not have enough competition within their club.
