In a competition that started nearly four months ago, the U11-U13 State Cup has finally reached Finals Weekend in the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Divisions.

What started with 812 teams–484 on the boys side and 238 on the girls side–is now down to the final four in each bracket as squads will play in the semifinals and finals Saturday and Sunday.

“The NorCal State Cup Finals Weekend is always one of the most exciting weekends of soccer of the year,” said U9-U13 State Cup Coordinator John Stoppelmann. “The system we use to match teams up with each other provides an extremely competitive game format where player development is paramount.”

While all finals will take place at Mary Grogan Park in Modesto, some semifinals will be played at Robertson Park in Livermore and Fallon Sports Park in Dublin.

Additionally, several other U11-U13 teams will be in action this weekend as a few State and Premier level teams will participate in their Round of 32 matchups at club-hosted sites.

The knockout stages will continue in the State and Premier Divisions with NorCal-hosted Round of 16 and quarterfinal matchups. The girls will play these the weekend of January 20, while the boys are set to kick those off the following weekend.

Finals Weekend for the State and Premier levels will take place February 3 and 4.
