NorCal Premier Soccer Matchday returns to the State Cup this weekend as several younger teams are playing their last group stage game in what’s expected to be an exciting few days of soccer. With most teams having played two matches already, clubs from all across the state will fight for second group stage or knockout round placement as the largest state cup in the country continues.
Here are your NorCal Premier Soccer games of the week:
U9 Boys State/Premier |
10/11 | Mustang SC | | 5:30 p.m. @ Sycamore Valley Park #1B | | Livermore Fusion |
In a matchup that was rescheduled due to excessive heat last weekend, Mustang SC will meet Livermore Fusion in a Friday night lights game this weekend. Both teams currently sit on three points from two games, with Mustang holding a slight advantage on goal differential. The winner of this match, or Mustang if the two sides tie, will advance to the State Division bracket in the second group phase. |
U12 Boys State/Premier |
10/11 | Sacramento United | | 7:15 p.m. @ Granite Regional Park Turf Field A | | Fruitridge SC |
In another game under the lights this Friday, Sacramento United host Fruitridge SC in a local derby, with a spot in the State Division knockout stages on the line. Both teams currently have three points, though Fruitridge hold the goal differential tiebreaker, meaning that should the game end in a draw, Fruitridge will advance to the State Division. |
U11 Girls State/Premier |
10/12 | Modesto Ajax United | | 2:00 p.m. @ Mary Grogan Soccer Complex | | California Odyssey |
In the first of their two State Cup group stage games this weekend, Modesto Ajax United host California Odyssey in a Central California derby. Ajax currently have three points to Odyssey's six, but have played just one match so far, meaning that a victory Saturday will draw them level on points. Should California win or draw, they'll claim the group title, while Ajax can do it with a win and then a draw or better Sunday against Stanislaus United. |
U11 Boys State/Premier |
10/13 | Walnut Creek Surf | | 9:00 a.m. @ Heather Farm 2 | | Livermore Fusion |
After claiming the 2024 Futsal State Cup title earlier this year, Walnut Creek Surf are looking to make waves outdoors, and so far have been perfect in group stage play. But so have Livermore Fusion--both teams enter the weekend tied on six points and are through to the State Division in the next stage. Livermore currently have a better goal differential and will earn a higher seed with a draw, but a win for either side will put them in pole position. |
U13 Girls State/Premier |
10/13 | Revolution FC | | 4:15 p.m. @ Sunset Sports Complex | | Alameda SC |
In this Bay Area battle on Sunday, Revolution FC and Alameda SC come into the weekend atop Group A in the U13 Girls State/Premier division. While both sides have already secured a spot in the State division in the next phase of play, the winner of this matchup will earn a higher seed. Should the two teams tie, Alameda will advance as the group winners thanks to a slightly better goal differential. |
