2024 NorCal Spring College Showcase Preview

This weekend at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex, NorCal Premier Soccer will again host its popular Spring College Showcase in which teams from all across the state–and some from other areas as well–will play a series of competitive and friendly games in front of more than 100 college coaches looking to find their next star players.

The event will feature teams in the U16-U19 age groups in NorCal’s ECNL-RL and NPL fighting for titles, promotion, and to stave off relegation, while also including squads that play in the ECNL, MLS Next, NorCal’s State Premier, and a delegation from Hawaii.

So far roughly 75 women’s coaches and 60 men’s coaches from the NCAA, NAIA, international, and junior college levels are scheduled to attend the showcase.

While many coaches will attend from California, overall 27 different states are represented, as well as representatives from universities in Spain and the United Kingdom.

“The Spring College Showcase has evolved into a truly national, and international event,” said NorCal NPL Commissioner Kelcey Chaidez. “College coaches from all across the country and Europe have found that this event is a must-attend for all the competition it provides with the high level talent on hand.”

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to this world class showcase,” Chaidez added.

While the event features several key title, promotion, and relegation races that NorCal will highlight later in the week, it also will see teams from outside of NorCal playing as well.

From the ECNL, Davis Legacy, De Anza Force, Placer United, Pleasanton RAGE, and San Juan SC will all send girls teams, while on the boys side Legacy and Santa Rosa United will play.

MLS Next’s Napa United and SF Glens will play matches, while there will be several games featuring select State Premier teams.

Additionally, making a return to the showcase is a delegation from Hawaii as the Hawaii Soccer Federation’s Na Alapa squad will compete with the U16 girls, while Leahi Soccer Club are fielding their U16 and U17 teams.
