U19 Girls NPL Spring Showcase: Preview
U19 GIRLS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
In racing out to a 5-0-0 record with 29 goals scored, Davis Legacy 98 have established themselves as the favorite to claim the U19 Champions League title. Standing in their way are second-place De Anza Force (4-1-0), the only other team that can claim the championship. The pair of sides square off Saturday at 3:20 p.m. in what is sure to be one of the games of the weekend. Though they stand in just fourth and fifth place, respectively, Placer United (2-3-0) and PSV Union (2-3-0) are the only two teams remaining which can challenge the Force for second place in this division.

U19 GIRLS NPL 1
The marquee match for the U19 NPL 1 doesn’t come until 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, but it’s a good one, with first-place Palo Alto SC (4-0-0) taking on second-place Blues FC (3-0-0). Not only have neither of these sides lost a game yet, but they have yet to even concede a goal. Still, this division will likely not have a winner over the weekend, with games scheduled in the first two weeks of May. Of the sides still in contention, only third-place Placer United (3-1-0) appear to have a realistic shot at the title, as after them, there’s a six-point gap in the standings.

U19 GIRLS NPL 2
Though games in the U19 NPL 2 stretch into May, the title for this division could be decided Saturday at 5:10 p.m. when first-place SF Elite Academy (3-0-1) take on second-place Santa Clara Sporting (3-1-0). A win for SF Elite would clinch the division with a game still to play, while a draw or a Santa Clara Sporting win would leave the title race wide open. Sitting on six points each, California Odyssey, Palo Alto SC, and Walnut Creek each have an outside shot at the title, but are likely just fighting for second place at this point.

U19 GIRLS NPL 3
Only a miracle would prevent California Odyssey from claiming the U19 NPL 3 title at this point, as their 3-0-0 record sees them enter the showcase with a six point advantage over the logjam of four squads currently sitting on three points. Four points for the Odyssey will clinch the title, but even just a single result in their final two games may do it. Juventus SC, West Coast Soccer, San Ramon FC, and Star Academy are the aforementioned four sides sitting on three points.
