NPL SCHEDULES AND RESULTS

NPL MATCHDAY

U15 Boys NPL 1 East

Placer United 1 – Davis Legacy 1

Davis Scorer: Beltran
Placer Scorer: Diaz

Nate Beltran converted an early penalty for Davis Legacy, who looked to continue their perfect start to the season against Placer United and make it three wins out of three. But a first half free kick from Miguel Diaz tied the match up at 1-1. While both sides battled to score a winner, none could be found and the Legacy dropped points for the first time all year, while Placer got a result against a team at the top of the table.

KEY MATCHES

U19 Boys NPL 1 West

Santa Clara Sporting 2 – Palo Alto SC 1

Sporting Scorer: Robertson, Mattia
Palo Alto: MacPherson.

After Palo Alto SC took an early lead on the road to Sporting through Colin MacPherson, the hosts came back and eventually earned all three points. Noah Robertson deftly chipped the ball into the back of the net to draw the game level in the 74th minute, before Tamba Mattia delivered the winner on an 83rd minute strike to give Palo Alto their first loss of the season.

U19 Girls Champions League

Mustang SC 3 – Players North 1

Mustang Scorer: Edelman (3)
Players Scorer: Conely

Megan Edelman was the key player for Mustang SC this past weekend in their matchup against Players North, with the attacker scoring a hat trick to lead her side to a 3-1 victory. Meanwhile, Players North’s Stacia Conely was able to contribute a strike to her squad, but ultimately it wasn’t enough as Mustang came out with the victory.

U15 Girls Champions League

West Coast SC 1 – MVLA 4

MVLA Scorers: Kohler (2), Osborne, Mitchem
West Coast Scorer: Grimes

In a high scoring contest, MVLA came out on top thanks in part to Charlotte Kohler’s heroics. Kohler scored a brace to go with strikes from MJ Osborne and Kaya Mitchem to give MVLA a 4-1 victory over previously undefeated West Coast.
