NPL Weekly: August 24-25 Recap
NPL MATCHDAY
U17 Boys NPL 1 North
Heritage Wolves 1 – Union Sacramento FC 1
Union Scorer: Anyimi
Heritage Scorer: Own goal
Despite each playing a free-flowing, attacking game, defending State Cup champions Heritage Wolves found themselves scoreless with defending Champions League runners up Union Sacramento in their NPL opener. But just as it looked like the game might end without a goal, Jordan Anyimi put Union up with a smart near post finish, only for Heritage to equalize late via an own goal that gave each side a split of the points.
