NPL Finals Day 6 Recap

The penultimate day of the NPL Finals in Colorado took place Tuesday, with four NorCal teams still remaining on the boys side after the girls competition wrapped up the previous day with a victory for the U14 San Juan South girls.

Of those four teams, two lived to fight another day and secured a spot in Wednesday’s final: the U14 1974 Newark FC boys and the U15 Association Football Club boys.

The former defeated Aztecas Fubtol Club via a 5-2 scoreline, while the latter took down Excel Soccer Academy 1-0.

In their respective finals, Newark will play against Club Deportivo La Esperanza of Santa Barbara, while AFC are set to match up against Sting Nebraska, who earlier knocked out NorCal club Diablo Valley Wolves.

Meanwhile, Tuesday was also the end of the road for the other two NorCal teams still alive as the U16 Los Gatos United boys lost 3-0 to Sockers FC and the U17 Association Football Club boys fell 2-0 to Triangle United.
