Day four of the NPL Finals in Colorado brought more success for the NorCal sides participating in the event as teams improved their record to 23-6-8 so far, with one side qualifying for their division’s final.

Because the girls event was scheduled to end sooner, the one female NorCal team remaining has already reached the culmination of the tournament as the U14 girls San Juan South side defeated Massachusetts’ Spirit of Liverpool USA 2-0 to set up a final date on Monday against Club Ohio.

San Juan South have won all four of their games so far, scoring 10 goals, while allowing just a solitary strike.

Meanwhile, after a scheduled rest day, the boys competition resumed Sunday with nine NorCal teams in play.

Overall, six of those nine teams advanced to Monday’s quarterfinals: U14 1974 Newark FC, U15 Association Football Club, U15 Diablo Valley Wolves, U16 Los Gatos United, U17 Association Football Club, and U19 San Francisco Seals.
