The 12 NorCal Premier Soccer teams participating at the NPL Finals in Commerce City, Colorado continued their dominance in the competition on day two.

After posting an unbeaten first day in the group stages of the competition Thursday, the dozen sides posted a 7-1-4 record on Friday, with many putting themselves in prime positions ahead of the knockout rounds.

The second day of play improved NorCal’s record in the competition to 16-1-7 thus far, and nine of the 12 teams – including all three girls participants – currently lead or are tied for the lead in their groups.

The standout Friday was the U15 boys Diablo Valley Wolves squad, who rebounded from an opening day draw to post a resounding 7-0 victory.

Overall, NorCal teams conceded just 10 goals on the day and are averaging fewer than one per game allowed.
