NPL Finals Day 1 Recap
The first day of the US Club Soccer National Premier League Finals, held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, could hardly have gotten off to a better start for the 12 teams involved from NorCal Premier Soccer.
Day one on Thursday saw NorCal sides go 9-0-3 with a plus-36 goal differential as the various NPL Champions League and ECNL-RL teams dominated their competition.
Overall, 10 different NorCal clubs sent teams, with 1974 Newark FC and Association Football Club each sending a pair of representatives.
The other clubs involved are California Odyssey, Diablo Valley Wolves, East Bay United, Elk Grove Soccer, Los Gatos United, San Francisco Seals, San Francisco Vikings, and San Juan South.
NorCal Premier Soccer teams conceded just seven goals on the day, with the highlight victories coming from the U14 1974 Newark FC boys, the U14 San Juan South girls, and theU17 Elk Grove Soccer boys.
Each of those teams scored at least six goals in resounding victories.
