NorCal NPL Match Day #13
On Matchday #13 of the tough NPL season, several clubs took steps forward in claiming the sought-after Champions League title in what was another exciting weekend of action. With some clubs forced into double duty due to the ongoing State Cup, all the action went down to the wire this past weekend all across the State.
Saturday, April 14th
U16 GIRLS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
FC Elk Grove Platinum 1, Vision Academy 0

The heavy favorites in this division were forced to sweat out a positive result against the always-tough Vision. It wasn’t until the 55th minute that FC Elk Grove Platinum (3-0-0) finally got on the board, with Kyla Jang providing the strike to put Elk Grove at the top of the table in their quest to repeat as Champions League winners.

Lamorinda Soccer Club simply cannot stop scoring goals, and their latest victim proved to be De Anza Force this past weekend. Lamorinda improved their scoring record to nine goals in two games by putting four past De Anza, with Adrian Guzman’s brace leading the way. Also finding the back of the net were both Alecxander Cueller and Steven Metcalf, who were able to negate a solitary strike from De Anza’s Marcus Ama.
