2019 NorCal NPL Spring Showcase: Recap
While field flooding unfortunately resulted in the cancellation of games on Sunday, there was plenty of action at the NPL Spring College Showcase this past weekend at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex. With roughly 100 college coaches in attendance for hundreds of games, much of the NPL action concluded Saturday — those who didn’t finish will reschedule their games. Of the Champions League races, several were decided either at the event or coming into it. Among the winners were Davis Legacy (U15 Boys), Clovis Crossfire (U15 Girls), MVLA (U16 Girls), Vision Academy (U17 Girls), and Santa Clara Sporting (U19 Boys). On the girls side, each of those winners and those to come earned spots in the NPL Finals, while for the boys, the top two in the U14-U17 divisions qualified for the ENPL, with Sporting claiming the only berth in the U19s.

2019-20 NPL Auto-Qualification Table
Heading into the final weekends of the 2018-19 NorCal NPL season some teams in the lowest NPL divisions (NPL 2 or NPL 3) are closing in on automatic qualification for the 2019-20 NPL. Teams that don’t place high enough in their NPL divisions to auto-qualify will have one last chance for qualification via the NPL Qualification Event which takes place on June 22-23 in Davis.
