With the NorCal Premier Soccer NPL College Showcase just over a week away, it’s now or never for sides looking to solidify their spots in the spring’s Champions League season. After a weekend of goal-filled action in the NPL, Matchday #9 forecasts another weekend slate of top-level games with teams battling for Champions League position.

Goals, goals, and more goals. That was the story from NPL Matchday #8, where teams fighting for Champions League spots refused to sit behind the ball and defend.

Champions League races are starting to heat up with only a few weeks left in the NPL Fall.

As NPL play continues throughout the fall, Match Day #7 nears the close of the season -- just three more game dates are to be played following this weekend. Because it's so late in the season, teams need points now more than ever, which should lead to yet another exciting slate of games on the weekend.

Due to the large number of cancellations, we have made some adjustments to our deadline dates for finishing all make-up games.

While many Matchday #6 games were cancelled due to the air quality in Northern California there were still games for those unaffected to play. For those that did play, it was another exciting round of games as teams looked to solidify their Champions League aspirations.

For most clubs and leagues in the high-quality NPL, seasons are nearing the midway point, meaning that there’s only roughly half a slate of play left before each side will determine where it will play in the spring.

With a variety of tournaments taking place this weekend, NPL teams will have a break from league action and a deserved one after all the fireworks that took place in Matchday #3 of the season.

After a one week break for Labor Day, NPL action continued this weekend, with some teams opening their seasons, while others were looking to establish themselves as early contenders for the spring’s Champions League.

After the lull in club soccer that is summer break, NorCal Premier Soccer’s National Premier League returns this weekend with an exciting slate of games at multiple locations throughout the entire state.
