After an elongated summer break in which teams played matches few and far between, the action in NorCal Premier Soccer is finally back this weekend as teams face off in NorCal League Cup action at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex on both Saturday and Sunday. The League Cup is a new competition that pits teams from different leagues against each other in the hopes of each team garnering more competitive matches and bringing the soccer community together. U15 Girls League Cup
8/16	Stanislaus United		12:10 p.m. @ Field 5		Stanford Strikers
This first League Cup group stage game sees a Central Californian side in Stanislaus United face off against Stanford Strikers of the Bay Area. After strong seasons last year, both sides are looking to both advance in the League Cup and compete for full ECNL promotion this fall.

U15 Boys League Cup
8/17	Folsom Lake Surf		10:20 a.m. @ Field 1		Eastshore Alliance
Defending national champions Folsom Lake Surf head to the pitch for the first time in the 2025-26 season this weekend at NorCal's first-ever League Cup. Their second group stage match will see them face off against a strong side in Eastshore Alliance Sunday. On Saturday, Folsom face OV Toros, while Easthore will have a local rivalry match against Stanford Strikers.

U17 Boys League Cup
8/17	Santa Rosa United		11:40 a.m. @ Field 9		Fresno Heat
One of the reasons the League Cup was created was to host competitive matchups between teams from from different leagues and that's just what this Santa Rosa United-Fresno Heat game will provide. Santa Rosa play their league matches in the ECNL, while Fresno Heat are a strong NPL side, making this game one of the more interesting contests of Opening Weekend.

U16 Girls League Cup
8/17	Los Gatos United		3:20 p.m. @ Field 9		West Coast Soccer
The final matchup of our Matchday #1 Games of the Week features two former GA sides who have made the jump to the ECNL RL. Los Gatos United will face West Coast Soccer in a tightly contested match on the second day of League Cup competition. Los Gatos kicks off their campaign the previous day against Eastshore Alliance, while West Coast will play Pajaro Valley United.
