| For the Livermore Fusion and Vision Academy, reaching this final came in the toughest method possible as they each had to defeat arguably the two favorites for the title in the semifinal round. For NPL 2 side Livermore, it was a 1-0 victory against Champions League champions Marin FC that put them in the final, while Vision defeated defending State Cup champions FC Elk Grove on kicks from the mark to reach this round. And despite finishing at the bottom of the table in the Champions League, the cup form for Vision has been stellar, with the squad scoring 12 times against just two allowed to advance this far. Meanwhile, Livermore have yet to allow a goal in the knockout rounds of the competition. |
