NPL Champions
Placer United
ENPL Qualifiers
Placer United and Sacramento United
In a division in which almost every club had a legitimate shot at winning the title coming into the weekend, Placer United posted a pair of 1-0 victories to finish two points clear of everyone else and claim the championship. Coming in just behind Placer was Sacramento United, who twice came back from deficits to earn the second ENPL spot in the U17 Champions League division. While Ballistic United finished level on points with Sacramento, a 2-0 victory for the latter ended up downing the former in terms of table standing and the second ENPL spot.
Champions League Schedules and Result
NPL 1
Division Winner
Galt FC
While there’s still a game left to play in the U17 NPL 1, Galt FC wrapped up this title thanks to two victories over the course of the NorCal Premier Soccer Spring College Showcase. Their 5-0-0 record saw them soar straight to the title via a three point margin, despite having a game in hand over second-place Palo Alto SC.
NPL 2
One of the divisions that has not yet been decided is the U17 NPL 2, where the Turlock Tornados sit atop the table with 16 points after all of their games have been played. Standing in their way are third-place California Odyssey (13 points), who earlier defeated Turlock and have a May 26 game against SACYSL California Northstars (seven points) that will see Odyssey claim the title with a victory.
NPL 3
Division Winner
Marin FC
2018-19 NPL Auto-Qualifiers
Marin FC and EBU Bay Oaks
Coming into the weekend at the top of the table, Marin FC only needed to match the results of fellow first-place side East Bay United in order to win the title. Marin FC did one better, garnering two wins to take the division by three points. But EBU’s three weekend points ensured that they would be the only other side assured of an NPL place come the fall season.
