Though the Davis Legacy entered halftime with just a one-goal lead, the result of this match never seemed in question, with West Coast Wild rarely threatening the Davis goal.

Mia Root scored the eventual game winner in just the 28th minute after taking a feed from Mackenzie Magoay and slotting it into the far corner of the net.

Despite facing waves of attack constantly going at their backline, West Coast then held stout defensively, at least until the 67th minute when a Jenna Zuniga header off of a corner all-but ended the match.

A pair of Julia’s — Curtis and Cummings — then scored in the 81st and 89th minutes, respectively, to ice the game and ensure that the Legacy came away with the State Cup title to add to their NPL Champions League trophy.
