U17 GIRLS STATE SEMIFINAL A |
5/13 | Blues FC | | 3:40 PM | | Force |
Blues FC have now played three State Cup knockout round games and have won each by a two-goal margin. Only time will tell, though, if they can keep that pace up against a Force ECNL side which qualified for the semifinals after coming out on top of a wild 5-4 game against the West Coast Wildfire. For Force, it was their second straight game of scoring five goals in the Cup. |

U17 GIRLS STATE SEMIFINAL B |
5/13 | Diablo FC | | 8:50 AM | | Lamorinda United |
In the quarterfinals round one of these sides played in one of the best matches of the weekend, while the other played one of the best matches of the weekend. Diablo FC survived a strong upset bid from Ceres FC Earthquake in winning on penalties in a game that was tied 3-3 in regulation, while Lamorinda United thrashed Clovis Crossfire by a 7-1 scoreline. At this point, it’s hard to see anyone stopping the NPL Champions League winners in Lamorinda, who have averaged six goals per game in the knockout stage, but if there’s a team that can do it, it’s Diablo FC, who don’t give up easily. |
