For Turlock, it was their third straight close victory, proving that the Tornados know how to do what it takes to survive in knockout round soccer. |

| In a crazy quarterfinal game, NPL Champions League winner Lamorinda United fought off an upset bid from Sacramento United, coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3 on essentially the last play of the game. The favorites to win the entire tournament, though, will face a tough test in a Santa Clara Sporting Green squad that has yet to allow a goal in the knockout rounds of the State Cup while also scoring seven goals in their three games. |
