img_3184Despite playing only one match over the weekend, West Coast Soccer was the only team already assured of a Champions League spot heading into the showcase. They were joined by division winner Pleasanton Rage, who captured the title by defeating Placer United and Sacramento United by a combined 7-0 scoreline over the two matches. Blues FC had an even better weekend, putting up a combined 9-0 scoreline on Sacramento United and FC Elk Grove, but finished second due to the head-to-head tiebreaker. Rounding out the CL qualifiers are Livermore Fusion SC, who also picked up a pair of wins over the weekend.

NPL 1 WEST

Division Winner

Lamorinda United

Division Winner

Lamorinda United, Mustang, Diablo FC, Marin FC

u17-lamoLamorinda United capped off an incredible undefeated season by picking up two impressive victories (2-1 over Mustang and 6-2 over Walnut Creek Blue) to capture the division title by a total of four points. The first win decided the title as Mustang finished in second, garnering a 3-1 Sunday win over CV SJ Earthquakes Academy to solidify their spot. Needing at least one win to clinch a CL spot, Diablo FC won twice, 3-0 over the Santa Cruz Breakers and 1-0 over Force to finish third. The top four was rounded out by Marin FC, whose win and draw was more than enough to clinch the fourth spot.

NPL 2 EAST

Division Winner

Clovis Crossfire

clovis-u17Four points in their two games gave Clovis Crossfire Blue the division title and a spot in the NPL 1 via a three-point margin as action proved fairly straightforward in this division. A 1-0 victory over East Bay United Saturday gave California Odyssey South Black a spot in the NPL 2 despite a Sunday loss to the San Juan Spirits, who will also enter the NPL 2 in the spring.

NPL 2 WEST

Division Winner

MVLA White

It took just one match over the weekend for the title and corresponding NPL 1 spot to be decided, with MLVA White defeating San Ramon FC with a 2-0 scoreline Saturday. San Ramon were already assured of at least a second-place finish, making their Sunday match against De Anza Force (a 1-0 San Ramon win) meaningless as De Anza had already clinched third place after a 2-0 Saturday win over Mustang SC Elite.
