NorCal Welcomes Aidon Jennery as New State Referee Coordinator
NorCal Premier Soccer is pleased to announce Aidon Jennery as its new State Referee Coordinator, effective immediately.
Jennery comes to the role after serving as a referee director, representing Region 4 on the PAD Committee for the last few years, and performing the duties of the CNRA Assessment Program Coordinator. He replaces the outgoing Moe Shafai in this position.
“Aidon will bring passion for the referee community, lots of ideas on how to improve referee development in NorCal, a desire to work in a collaborative manner, and high levels of professionalism to the role,” said NorCal Director of Operations Andy Farrant. “We have no doubt he will be an excellent addition to the NorCal family.”
The role of the NorCal State Referee Coordinator is to develop and manage the NorCal Referee Program which includes the responsibilities of:
- Overseeing the referee standards at NorCal events
- Managing the NorCal referee education program
- Leading the NorCal referee community
- Representing referees on the NorCal PAD Committee
In addition to the experience listed prior, Jennery has refereed youth soccer for almost two decades, has experience with referee assignment at all levels, has served as a referee coach in NorCal, and is a USSF licensed referee, assignor, and instructor.
“I’m very excited to blend my passion for all things refereeing with my passion for youth soccer in this position,” Jennery said. “I’m looking forward to working with the soccer community, the referee community, and the NorCal staff as we develop the referee program for the benefit of soccer!”
