2019 NorCal NPL Fall Showcase Recap: U17 Boys
NPL 1 North
Division Winner: Nevada United
Champions League Qualifiers: Nevada United, Napa Soccer Academy, California Odyssey, Heritage
Already having clinched a Champions League spot heading into the weekend, Nevada United made history by becoming the first team from outside of California to claim a top-division NorCal Premier Soccer as they won the U17 Boys NPL 1 North by garnering six points from two games over the weekend. Meanwhile, second-place Heritage SC fell all the way to fourth with a loss in their only game, and while Napa Soccer Academy and California Odyssey each had a shot at the title, they ended up playing in a scoreless draw Saturday before Nevada defeated California on Sunday while Napa drew Turlock Academica Jrs. Still, all four teams will be in the spring’s Champions League after strong seasons.
NPL 1 North Schedules and Results
NPL 1 South
Division Winner: Force North
Champions League Qualifiers: Force North, Spurs FC, SF Glens, Santa Clara Sporting
The only side to have clinched a Champions League spot heading into the weekend, Force North drew their only game but still managed to win the NPL 1 South title after Spurs FC dropped points to Walnut Creek Surf on Sunday. Spurs ended up in the second spot due to four points from the weekend, but that draw doomed Walnut Creek, who missed out on the spring’s top division by one point. The last two spots in the Champions League went to SF Glens Evolution and Santa Clara Sporting, the latter of whom picked up a victory over the former on Sunday after both took care of business on the first day of the showcase.
NPL 1 South Schedules and Results
NPL 2 East
Division Winner: San Juan
By virtue of a 5-1-1 record, San Juan SC won the NPL 2 East and clinched its only spot in the spring’s NPL 1.

NPL 2 West
Division Winner: Marin FC
Marin FC didn’t lose or draw a single game in the NPL 2 West, winning the division by seven points and earning a place in the spring’s NPL 1 as a result.
