U17 Boys NPL Showcase Preview
U17 Boys Champions League
An amazing five teams are still alive in this Champions League, with Santa Clara Sporting currently leading the way with 12 points from five games. Just behind Sporting are nine-point SF Elite and San Juan SC, while Force Academy and California Odyssey are right outside of the top with seven points. In order to close out a victory, though, Sporting will have to face both SF and the Odyssey, while San Juan has a slightly easier schedule in playing the bottom two teams in the table.
U17 Boys NPL 1
This division has turned into a three-horse race, with CV Surf (11 points), SACYSL California Northstars (11 points), and Lamorinda SC (10 points) the only three sides left in contention. In what could be a title game, Surf face SACYSL Saturday.
U17 Boys NPL 2
Third-place PAC San Jose take on second-place Ballistic United Saturday in what could be one of the games of the weekend. Both will need a win to catch first-place Force Academy, who lead Ballistic by one point and PAC by three.
U17 Boys NPL 3
SF Glens currently lead this division by one point over the San Jose Earthquakes, but have a game in hand on their Bay Area rival. Meanwhile, South Valley United and Beakers FC each trail SF by four points but could get back into it if results go their way.
