2019 NorCal NPL Fall Showcase Recap: U19 Girls

Champions League

The big story this weekend in the U19 Girls Champions League was Marin FC, who came into the showcase with a perfect 27 points from nine games and left with 27 points from 11 games. West Valley Vision were the first to upset the North Bay giants, beating them 2-1 Saturday to finish the event with 21 points from eight games, while fourth-place Mustang SC handed Marin a 2-0 loss on Sunday. Second-place MVLA faltered early as well, losing to Mustang on Saturday before rebounding to beat Placer United 6-0 on Sunday. All in all, a division that once seemed wrapped up is now very much competitive after a wild two days.

Meanwhile, Clovis Crossfire and San Jose Surf are four and six points back, respectively, but each have two games in hand.
