NorCal NPL Match Day #5

With the conclusion of Match Day #5, the NPL Fall season has now hit the midway point.

Girl's divisions have been more competitive this season than in past years with multiple teams still in contention for league titles and Champions League spots. One such division is the U19 Girls NPL 1 A, which saw a pair of Champions League hopefuls, Placer United 99 and Davis Legacy 99 play to a 1-1 draw. In the U16 NPL 1 West division, a late goal from Sporting salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw with Marin FC.

The boys divisions have also been wide open with most games having the chance to go either way. One such game this past weekend saw Force South outlast Tottenham East Bay, 4-2, in a key U14 NPL 1 West match. In a tight U17 NPL 1 East division, Sacramento United picked up an impressive 4-0 win over Monarcas.
