U11/U12 Gold, Silver, and Bronze State Cup Finals Weekend Recap

In what was the final bit of action in NorCal Premier Soccer State Cup play in 2025, the U11/U12 Gold, Silver, and Bronze divisions concluded this past weekend.

Overall, 58 different teams lifted titles over the course of two days at Mary Grogan Park in Modesto and Robertson Park in Livermore.

“As our fall season comes to a close, we’d like to thank all the players, coaches, team managers, and parents who make the NorCal State Cup a truly special competition,” said U9-U12 State Cup Coordinator John Stoppelmann. “Finals Weekend, this past Saturday and Sunday, was a reward for all the players to showcase all of their hard work and growth. Families, friends, and communities gathered to support these young athletes and it’s that energy that makes Finals Weekend truly special.”

The U11/U12 State Cup began back in September with a three-game group stage in which teams were placed among similarly skilled sides to partake in matches hosted by one of the clubs.

From there, each team was reseeded into a knockout round bracket, with most entering in the round of 32 in their particular division, which was also a club-hosted event.

NorCal’s reseeding process ensured that each team would end up in the most competitive division possible after the group stage.

“At NorCal Premier Soccer, we believe that quality competition is imperative for player development, while creating an incredible experience for each player, which helps them keep playing the game we all love,” Stoppelmann said. “This format ensures that each player will get the most amount of competitive games possible which will in turn provide the best development possible.”

The teams who won their first knockout game then advanced to the NorCal-hosted rounds, with the sides prevailing in both the round of 16 and quarterfinals earning the right to play at Finals Weekend.

While the Gold, Silver, and Bronze divisions are now all complete, the U11/U12 State Cup will continue for those partaking in the State and Premier divisions.

Those squads have until February 1 to face off against an opponent in a club-hosted round of 32 before the NorCal-hosted games begin in late February. Finals Weekend for those divisions is scheduled for February 28 and March 1 at Bartholomew Park in Elk Grove and San Juan Soccer Complex in Rancho Cordova.

All finals in the U11/U12 State and Premier divisions will take place at Bartholomew.
